Laura Sandy possibly spends too much time thinking about books. She spent many years studying them at Newcastle University and has since worked at virtually every bookshop in the region. Now a freelance jack-of all trades, she has written on various cultural activities for Mslexia, Aesthetica and the Metro. She currently writes about books for the Isolationist website and films for the journal online and runs their online book group. One day Laura dreams of opening the finest independent bookshop in the region
She is also currently working in the New Writing North office, getting shamefully exciting about accounts.
Laura mostly enjoys reading, long walks on the beach, cinema in the afternoons and cups of tea with her nearest and dearest. All very rock n roll.
